The Olympic flags hung cheerfully side-by-side banners bearing the Nazi swastika. This film reveals what really went on behind the scenes and investigates the secret negotiations and compromises made to bring the Olympics to Berlin.

On June 28, 1914, Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria is in Sarajevo with his wife, Sophie. While through the city by car, they are victims of an attack and die. This is the trigger of the First World War.
