The film revolves around the exploitative and itinerant cowboy McCall (Alex McArthur). This time, McCall is located in the middle of a deadly feud in a small mining town. As the only honest man in the area (relatively speaking), our hero is ripe for a double-cross. Accused of the murder of Sheriff Whaley (Robert Vaughn), McCall is forced to go out and search for the man who can exonerate him.

Duell McCall visits his old girlfriend, Nora, and learns that she gave birth to his child. He wants to stay but he is still a wanted man. So, Sheriff Campbell suggests that if he brings in this notorious criminal, who's been plaguing the territory, he might be able to get a pardon.
