Fatherless Bodi Grogan dreams of his own puppy, but the best he can get from his workaholic ma Carol is minding friends' naughty pup Marley while he's... dumped for the summer with grandpa Fred, a rather strict US Marines veteran. If they do really well a permanent dog is on the cards, so Brdoy resolves to j-enter the local puppy obedience show, which only allows teams, so he recruits Fred's friendly neighbor Crouch's sibling pups Moose and Fuchsia. Marley & Me: The Puppy Years (2011) follows the story of Bodi Grogan, a young boy who dreams of having his own puppy. Unfortunately, his workaholic mother, Carol, can only offer him the opportunity to take care of his friend's mischievous puppy named Marley for the summer. Bodi's strict grandfather, Fred, a former Marine, is enlisted to help watch over Marley.

When Bodi learns that if they do well in the local puppy obedience show, they may be able to keep Marley permanently, he is determined to win. The only catch is that the show requires teams, so Bodi recruits his neighbor's friendly puppies, Moose and Fuchsia, to join their team. Together, they form a bond and train diligently for the competition.

However, they soon find themselves up against the ruthless title defender, Hans Von Weiselberger, and his team of Doberman puppies. Hans will stop at nothing to win, even resorting to cheating and terrorizing his own puppies.

Throughout the movie, Bodi and his team face various challenges and setbacks, but they remain determined to prove their worth and win the competition. Will they be able to overcome the obstacles and secure a permanent home for Marley?
