Let it Rain

Let it Rain (2008) tells the story of Agnes Jaoui's character, Agathe Villanova, a local political candidate who returns to her childhood home in the south of France. She is there to help her sister Florence sort through their late mother's belongings. During her visit, Karim, the son of the family maid, seizes the opportunity to interview Agathe for a documentary about successful women. Karim is working on the project with his film school teacher, Michel, who has ulterior motives involving Florence. Michel is having an affair with Florence and hopes to convince her to leave her husband.

As the story unfolds, Karim's own marriage is thrown into turmoil when a co-worker declares her interest in him. The film explores themes of family dynamics, politics, relationships, and ambition against the backdrop of the picturesque French countryside.
