In the futuristic world of 2035, where robots are a common part of everyday life, detective Del Spooner is called upon to investigate the mysterious death of renowned robotics scientist Dr. Alfred Lanning. As a technophobic detective, Spooner initially believes that Lanning's death is a suicide.
