Funny Face (1957) is a charming romantic comedy that follows the story of Dick Avery, a fashion photographer on the hunt for an intellectual backdrop for his next photoshoot. In a stroke of inspiration, he decides to expropriate a Greenwich Village bookstore for the shoot, much to the dismay of salesgirl Jo Stockton. After the chaotic photoshoot, Avery stays behind to help Jo clean up.

As fate would have it, Avery discovers Jo in the background of one of the photos and is captivated by her unique appearance. This catches the attention of Maggie Prescott, the editor of a prestigious fashion magazine, who offers Jo a modeling contract. Though initially reluctant, Jo agrees to the contract solely for the opportunity to travel to Paris.

As Jo immerses herself in the world of high fashion, she struggles with her own snobbish attitude towards the industry. Along the way, she finds herself falling in love with Avery, who is torn between his feelings for Jo and his obligations to the glamorous world of fashion.

Set against a backdrop of iconic Parisian locations and featuring memorable musical numbers, Funny Face is a heartwarming tale about self-discovery, love, and the challenges of staying true to oneself in a world of superficiality. With its endearing characters and delightful performances from Audrey Hepburn and Fred Astaire, this classic film promises to leave you smiling and tapping your feet.
