Shortly after police discovers the murder of three friends, police inspector Wallander finds his friend and colleague Svedberg dead. At first believing that Svedberg killed himself, Wallander soon discovers links between Svedberg, the three friends and a fourth person, a young woman at a mental institution.

Five campers arrive in the mountains to examine some property they have bought, but are warned by the forest ranger Roy McLean that a huge machete-wielding maniac has been terrorising the area. Ignoring the warnings, they set up camp, and start disappearing one by one. If that sounds too run-of-the-mill, there's a genuinely shocking plot twist half-way through...

The second season ushered in 16 6-minute segments of The Mumbly Cartoon Show, a new Hanna-Barbera comedy/mystery concerning a snickering plainclothes man detective hound named Lt. Mumbly (voiced by the late Don Messick and patterned loosely after Muttley of Wacky Races [CBS, 1968-70] and Dastardly And Muttley In Their Flying Machines [CBS, 1969-71] fame) and his schlocky stooge, Shnooker (voiced by John Stephenson).

Nick and Kitty Murder are married middle-aged working class New Yorkers. The poem is the last straw for Kitty regarding their marriage. Kitty has the support of their three grown daughters - biological or other - her cousin Bo, her pastor and others at the church. They help her with among other things finding and thus dealing with Tula, who she does not know, and looking back at if she made a mistake in choosing Nick over her first love. On the other side, Nick turns to his co-worker Angelo, and a local police officer/ex-military man for advice, which he also gets unsolicited from his tough talking mother. Nick still has Tula, a frank-talking Northern English sex shop clerk, who truly loves Nick's body parts as he loves hers. A little emotional distance may provide Nick and Kitty the best perspective of what their future holds.

When a bomb, delivered to a law firm's skyscraper office, kills 15 night crew and senior partner Anne Harrington, irreverent postal inspector Beau Stoddard competently traces it. Officially he's just FBI liaison. Nominee director of Domestic Security Robert Brickland, Beau's hated ex-boss at bomb squad and FBI, grudgingly lets him collaborate with ex-partner Jane Dreyer. Soon after U.S. Attorney Fred Goldenberg is also bombed. Anonymous letters suggests the link is drug hood James Grimes, but he maintains his innocence while dying in a bloody arrest. Beau pushes on, fearing a dirtier plot.
