Set in December 1897 in Paris, Edmond follows the story of Edmond Rostand, a young playwright who is facing writer's block and overwhelming anxieties. He has not written anything for two years, and in a desperate attempt to revive his career, he offers a new play to the famous actor Constant Coquelin. The play is a heroic comedy, written in verse, and it is intended to be performed during the upcoming holidays. The only problem is that Edmond has not yet written a single word of the play.

Amidst the challenges of dealing with demanding actresses, pushy producers from Corsica, the jealousy of his wife, and the heartbreak of his best friend, Edmond sets out on the journey of writing a play that nobody believes in. Despite the lack of enthusiasm from those around him, Edmond is determined to create something extraordinary.

With only the title Cyrano de Bergerac in mind, Edmond begins the creative process. This film is a captivating exploration of the struggles and triumphs of a passionate artist, as Edmond faces his fears, battles his inner demons, and ultimately finds inspiration to bring his masterpiece to life.
