In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days, it's summer vacation and Greg Heffley has big plans to spend it playing video games. However, his dad has other ideas and wants Greg to go outside and be active. Meanwhile, Greg's mom has her own plans for him, including joining a reading club. Greg struggles to get along with his father and the only thing they have in common is their dislike for the Lil Cutie Comics.
Things take a turn for the worse when Greg's family vacation at a beachside cabin goes terribly wrong, causing even more tension between Greg and his father. As the vacation continues to spiral out of control, Greg wonders if anything will ever go right.
Luckily, there is a bright spot in Greg's summer when he meets Holly Hills. With her arrival, Greg's perspective begins to shift and he starts to see the potential for a different kind of summer, one that may not involve video games but could still be enjoyable in its own way.
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days is a hilarious and heartwarming coming-of-age comedy that explores the ups and downs of family and friendship during summer vacation. Join Greg as he navigates the challenges of growing up and discovers that sometimes the best adventures are the unexpected ones.
