In the late 1970s, a mentally handicapped teenager named Marco is abandoned by his drug-addicted mother in the film Any Day Now. When a gay couple, Rudy and Paul, discover the desperate situation Marco is in, they decide to take him in and provide him with the love and care he has never experienced before. Despite facing societal judgments and prejudices, Rudy and Paul become a family to Marco.
