In the 1998 movie Half Baked, a group of friends must come together to bail out their friend Kenny, who accidentally kills a cop's horse. With a 1 million dollar bail, they embark on a mission to raise the money before a dangerous drug dealer, Nasty Nate, finds Kenny.

To raise the money, the group decides to sell marijuana that Thurgood, one of the friends, obtains from his job as a janitor in a pharmaceutical lab. They quickly become friends with a famous rapper, Sir Smoke-A-Lot, and also attract the attention of rival dealer Samson Simpson.
