Unbeknownst to them, Kralik and Klara have been corresponding as anonymous pen pals and have developed a deep connection.

As Kralik plans to propose to his mysterious pen pal, he is unexpectedly fired by Matuschek on the night of their scheduled meeting. Disheartened, Kralik heads to a bar where he is supposed to meet his pen pal, only to discover that Klara is the one he has been communicating with all along. Shocked by the revelation, Kralik confronts Klara, who is equally surprised.
