George takes on the role of protector and caregiver for his gentle and mentally impaired companion, Lennie. Despite Lennie's strength and size, his childlike innocence often causes trouble, leading them to constantly seek new employment. Together, they dream of owning their own piece of land, where they can live in peace and freedom.
As George and Lennie find work on a ranch, they encounter a diverse group of characters, each with their own struggles and dreams. These relationships test the limits of their friendship and challenge their hopes for a better future.
