Details
In the movie Where the Devil Hides (2014), a religious cult is shaken to its core when young girls mysteriously begin to go missing. As fear and suspicion grip the community, two conflicting narratives emerge among its members.
The older followers of the cult believe that these disappearances are indicative of a long-told prophecy. They fear that the Devil has infiltrated their ranks and chosen these girls as sacrifices. Their fervent devotion to their faith becomes even more intense as they desperately try to decipher the meaning of these disturbing events.
Meanwhile, the younger members of the cult suspect that the elders, who hold positions of power and authority, may be involved in the girls' disappearances. They question the motivations and integrity of the very people they have been taught to trust. The abuse that they suspect may lie at the heart of these disappearances only deepens their skepticism of the cult's teachings.
As the tension mounts, the movie explores the clash between blind faith and the questioning of authority, and the consequences that arise when traditions and beliefs are challenged.
Where the Devil Hides is a suspenseful and thought-provoking film that delves into the dark underbelly of religious cults, highlighting the struggle between loyalty and self-preservation. Viewers will be captivated by its gripping narrative and the moral dilemmas faced by its complex characters.
