In the not too distant future, the spacecraft Svea XVI carries 12-year-old Gladys and her younger brother Keaton, the only passengers on board. Fleeing from a broken Earth, they are en route to the planet Vial, but their destination always seems just out of reach. To pass the time, the siblings explore the vast ship and their only companion is the Japanese A.I. named Otosan.
