In Lethal Weapon 2 (1989), partners Riggs and Murtaugh find themselves in a dangerous situation when they attempt to bring down a group of drug dealers who are armed with advanced weaponry and helicopters. During their investigation, they stumble upon a trunk filled with a million dollars worth of gold coins. However, their focus shifts when their superior reassigns them to protect a man named Leo Getz, a key witness in a major case.
As Riggs and Murtaugh guard Leo, they quickly discover that he is not as innocent as he seems. Leo has actually laundered half a billion dollars of drug money, making him a target for multiple attacks. Determined to get to the bottom of the case, the trio embarks on a thrilling journey that leads them to a hazardous location where they become the target of relentless gunfire.
In their attempt to bring justice to the criminals, Riggs and Murtaugh face a major hurdle—the shooters are employed by the South African consulate and enjoy diplomatic immunity. This diplomatic immunity prevents the duo from taking direct action against these men. Despite this setback, Riggs, Murtaugh, and Leo devise a plan to hold the criminals accountable for their actions, resulting in an explosive climax. Will they succeed in their mission? Find out in Lethal Weapon 2, a thrilling action-packed film that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
