In the comedy film Funny Farm (1988), a couple decides to leave the bustling city behind and embrace a tranquil life in the countryside. Andy Farmer, a sports writer, and his wife, Elizabeth, relocate to a picturesque small town with the hopes of finding peace and inspiration for Andy's novel. However, their idealistic vision is shattered as they discover that their charming new hometown is far from ordinary.

As they settle into their idyllic farmhouse, the couple soon realizes that the quirky local residents and bizarre events in the town make everyday life anything but simple.
