A Dirty Shame (2004) is a John Waters film set in North Baltimore that centers around Sylvia Stickles, a middle-aged woman with a strong aversion to sex. Sylvia refuses to have intimate relations with her husband Vaughn Stickles, and she keeps her well-endowed daughter, Caprice, locked in her room. Sylvia is serving home detention for moral depravity charges and is determined to promote decency on Harford Road with her mother, Big Ethel. They lead a group known as the neuters.
However, Sylvia's life takes a drastic turn when she is accidentally hit on the head by a lawnmower hanging out of a passing pick-up truck.
